Since the ISPCA launched its appeal to rehome cats and kittens last week, eight cats have been rehomed and ten kittens are on reserve by people with the intention to adopt.
The ISPCA headquarters in Keenagh, Co. Longford reported last week that they were at capacity, with 68 cats in their care.
During summer months the number of kittens being born is at its highest.
The ISPCA want to get as many animals rehomed as possible, as we enter into autumn in the hope that numbers won’t be replenished again until next year.
