IFA President denies organisation is threatened by Beef Plan Movement

IFA President Hoe Healy is rejecting suggestions that the organisation is being threatened by the Beef Plan Movement which has signed up 17,000 members in the last few months.

He was speaking as the latest in a series of meetings around the country was held in Ballymahon last night and was attended by 100’s more farmers who are unhappy with the beef prices available for the past several weeks.

The main support strongholds so far in,include counties Roscommon, Galway and Mayo, with each county having more than 1,000 members.


Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show this morning, Joe Healy says IFA has done, and will continue to do, everything possible to help beef farmers protect their livelihoods.
