Gardai urge public to engage with them for National Community Engagement Day

The Gardai are urging the public to come and engage with them tomorrow for their National Community Engagement day.

In association with local IFA branch representatives, community gardai are hosting meet and greet events in towns with indivuduals and community groups.

All events in Longford begin at noon, at the canteen Granard Mart, the Green Edgeworthstown and the library in Ballymahon.


Roscommon mart hosts the first county event at 1pm, the next is in the Family Life Centre in Boyle at 2pm.

In south Roscommon, people are asked to attend Moore Commumnity Hall for 5pm and the final meet and greet is in Hestors in Castlerea at 7pm.

In Leitrim, events beging in the Commercial hotel in Ballinamore and Clarke’s hotel Mohill, at 8 o’ clock with it’s a half past 8 start at Berry’s Tavern, Drumshanbo.
