Farmer killed in north Longford accident described as “pure gentleman”

Tributes are being paid to the farmer who was killed in an accident in north Longford on Thursday afternoon.

The man, who has been named locally as David Norris, was a well-liked farmer from Rathmore and was very well known in the local community for his involvement with his local GAA club.

The HSA and Gardai are investigating the circumstances of Mr Norris’ death and they believe that he may have lost his life as a result of an incident with a cow.
