Environment Minister says ESB decided appeal over biomass planning would fail

The Environment Minister says ESB didn’t appeal a rejected planning application which will lead to the closure of two plants in the Midlands. The plants in West Offaly and Lough Ree in Longford will stop generating electricity at the end of next year.
