People in the Edgeworthstown area are being urged to give their opinions on the potential of a full time credit union.
Earlier this year, Ulster Bank annouced that it’s to close its branch leaving the town without a permanent bank for the first time.
Currently, Longford Credit Union operates a sub office which only opens for three hours one day a week.
The head office has distributed questionaries to residences and businesses to assess their banking needs and whether they would like to see a fully staffed 6 day a week service.
Forms are also available at J&M Gift store in the town – the closing date for all returns is this Friday.
Councillor Paul Ross says they’re hoping for a good response from the wider Edgeworthstown area.
