Longford musician Declan Nerney believes designated areas should be developed by County Councils to allow public performances for people missing live entertainment.

The representative group of the entertainment industry this week called on the government to provide major funding to allow events which have been cancelled due to the pandemic take place,

EPIC launched its pre-Budget submission calling for 6 million euro in direct funding and reduced VAT rates on ticket sales.

The sector supports over 35 thousand jobs and contributes 3.5 billion euro to the economy.
