The funding crisis at St Christopher’s Services in Longford is having a direct impact on people with special needs.
That’s according to its chief executive, Derek Scanlon.
He’s calling for an urgent meeting with Health Minister Simon Harris to discuss the ongoing underfunding of services to the tune of €2 million.
Mr Scanlon claims Minister Harris hasn’t fulfilled a promise he made two years ago to address the issue.
He says the service is €1 million in debt and that this is affecting service-users.
