CE of Center Parcs denies company has hired recruitment agencies

The chief executive of Center Parcs is insisting it hasn’t employed any recruitment agencies yet to recruit for the new holiday village in Ballymahon.

The UK company today confirmed a deal has been signed with Gas Networks Ireland to extend the natural gas network to the village.

That’s a key piece of infrastructure for the €233 million project as the 50 lodges at the facility will be piped for gas.

Chief executive Martin Dalby has also given an update on recruitment for the 1,000 jobs that the village will employ.

It follows concerns raised locally about recruitment companies advertising for staff for the area.

Speaking following today’s announcement, Cathaoirleach of Longford County Council Mick Cahill has welcomed the agreement between Center Parcs and Gas Networks Ireland.

He is hopeful a decision on where the gas will come from can be made soon, while he also believes the news gas is coming to the county is a huge boost to the entire region.
