Longford County Council has been praised for its pro-active work in trying to reduce its social housing list in the last number of years.
The comments came from Minister of State Damien English, as he opened 14 new homes in Drumlish this morning.
The three-million euro project took just 10 months to complete and the some of the new residents are expected to move into the homes in the coming days.
The Junior Minister told Shannonside FM that Longford County Council deserves huge credit for their efforts to resolve the housing crisis :
