Younger people in Leitrim are being asked to consider taking part in a special ‘Oral History’ project which has been launched by the county council there.
The project will involve interviews with older people around the county on what life was like for them several decades ago.
Leitrim County Council’s Heritage officer Sarah Malone says it had been intended that the project could be carried out by people visiting the homes of their interviewees and recording the process, but the pandemic has meant that can’t happen right now.

Sarah says anyone interested in taking part is being asked to log on to the Leitrimcoco.ie website where they can get help on topics and interview methods…
