Voting was brisk earlier at the boxes at St Josephs in Longford town and the average turnout there at 11 o’ clock was almost 7%.
Voting at one of the Booths in the Teagsac office in Longford town was at 10%, in the last hour, while the others had an average of 8 to 9%.
Balinalee voting was at 10% at 11am.
In Edgeworthstown 11% at the moment is reported
In Leitrim, voting in Mohill was put at 11% in the last ten minutes, while in Annaduff it’s at about 12% right now.
In Dromod, turnout is at 13.5 % in the last few minutes,
Voting in Roscommon is also steady 11% at Castlrea at half past eleven.
Voting is underway in local and European elections and the Referendum across the Shannonside region. Polls opened at 7am this morning.

There’s been an average of just 8% in Drumshanbo.
In Longford, there’s a turnout of 6.7 per cent reported across the six booths in St Joseph’s in Longford from half past ten.
A turnout of 10% is recorded for one of the three booths at the Teagasc office in Longford town, and two others at St Michael’s road recorded an average of 7-8% per cent.
The turnout in Ballymahon and Kenagh earlier this morning around half past nine was between six and seven per cent.
In Roscommon, earlier this morning (8:30am) turnout in the Boyle and Ballaghaderreen areas is at 2% – Athlone area boxes are averaging at 3.5%, turnout is at 4% in Roscommon.
