Two people were injured during an incident in Carrick on Shannon at the weekend.
One person received face and neck injuries, and a second received injuries to their arm.
It’s understood a weapon was used in the incident.
It happened shortly before 3am in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Both were taken to hospital for treatment for the injuries which have been described as nonlife- threatening.
No arrests have been made in relation to the incident but it’s understood a man is helping gardai with their inquiries.
