A total of 13 men and woman from the Shannonside region are among the new gardai who officially passed out at Templemore in recent days.
Four of the new gardai come from Leitrim.
They are William Burke from Glencar, Caillin Canning from Mohill, Brendan Flynn from Carrick-on-Shannon and Damien Gilhooly from Drumshanbo.
Shane Kenny from Longford and Laura McGrath from Ballymahon are the two Longford people among the new gardai.
Seven Roscommon natives have officially joined the force.
They are Donal Cafferkey from Frenchpark, Evelyn Daire from Castlerea, Clare Dolan from Strokestown, and Alan Manning from Ballyleague.
Barry Mullen from Roscommon town, Patrick Nally from Boyle and David O’ Grady from Ballaghadereen complete the local contingent in the last Templemore graduates.
