It could be a late finish in Sligo-Leitrim tonight with several political heavyweights in a fight for seats in the north-west.
Marian Harkin looks on course to secure the second seat with a total vote of 9,679 after Count Eleven.
No-one has been elected since Martin Kenny took a seat on the first count last night after 9pm.
The former MEP is well ahead of Fianna Fail’s Marc McSharry in third, who is now on 8,055.
However the Fianna Fail frontbencher is set to receive a sizable transfer from the recently eliminated Shane Ellis.
Eamon Scanlon is also in the fight to retain his seat, and is now on 7,371.
Thomas Walsh is also polling well first time out, with a total of 5,587 and many in Sligo predicting that when he is eliminated, his transfers could see Feighan leapfrog Scanlon for the final seat.
Count Twelve is expected at around 6.30pm with an overall finish likely at 10pm or later.
