Sligo-Leitrim TD critical of HSE’s failure to provide funding breakdown for mental health services

The HSE has been criticised for not providing a breakdown of the type of mental health services, and their cost, to a Dail committee investigating the cost of providing services across the country.

Sligo-Leitrim TD Tony McLoughlin expressed his anger at senior health officials at an Oireachtas committee meeting yesterday especially dealing with mental health issues.

The Fine Gael TD asked for a breakdown of the type of services being provided in Sligo-Leitrim and the cost associated with them, but was told that it was chief financial officers in each Community Healthcare Organization who would have to compile the figures for the deputy.
