Seventeen Covid cases in Roscommon and eighteen in Leitrim linked to clusters in recent weeks

Seventeen cases of Covid 19 have been confirmed as being linked to outbreaks or clusters in the Shannonside Northern Sound region between the 11th and 18th of September

New data from the CSO reveals that Monaghan is the only local county that recorded a Covid related death since the 31st of July.

New CSO information shows that up to September 18th, less than 15 cases in Cavan were linked to an outbreak in the last three weeks.

Ten cases in Leitrim were linked to an outbreak the week ending the 4th of September and eight to the 11th of this month – with five or fewer up to the 18th of this month.

Ten cases in Longford were linked to an outbreak the week ending the 11th of September but zero for the week after.

In Monaghan fourteen or fewer cases were linked to clusters between the 4th and 18th of September with nine between the 11th and 18th of September.

In Roscommon 17 cases were linked to outbreaks between the 4th of September and the 18th.]
