Sen. Frank Feighan says he is well placed to replace Gerry Reynolds as FG general election candidate

Senator Frank Feighan says he is well placed to contest the general election for Fine Gael in the Sligo Leitrim North Roscommon constituency.

Last week, Gerry Reynolds announced that he was withdrawing from the ticket, to focus on business interests.

So far, former TD John Perry and Councillor Enda McGloin and Ita Reynolds Flynn have indicated their interest in running.

Senator Feighan was elected as TD in both 2007 and 2011 for Roscommon South Leitrim.

He says he has a proven record in getting elected, serving the area and has strong connections in south Sligo.
