Save Leitrim campaigners were met with silence by forestry Minister Andrew Doyle

Campaigners from Leitrim seeking a change in forestry policy say they are not pitting themselves against the forestry industry.

Save Leitrim campaigners traveled to Dublin today to ask the Minister responsible Andrew Doyle to travel to the county and see for himself the effects of large scale planting.

Neither the Minister or any of his officials met the group, they handed in yet another invitation to local TDs to pass on.

Edwina Guckian of Save Leitrim says they want to work with all sides to get a better policy for everyone.
