Irish Snapchat filters for the three Shannonside counties have been used over 350,000 times since they were introduced earlier this year to promote the language
Conradh na Gaeilge has confirmed to Shannonside FM that the Snapchat filters for Ros Comáin, Longfort and Liatroim have been used on over 354,000 message sent via the social networking app.
Roscommon users lead the way, having used the filter for 178,000 ‘snaps, followed by Leitrim on 92,000 and Longford on 78,000.
Snapchat’s Community Geofilters are available for every county in Ireland and the designs were drawn up by regular snapchat users in each county.
Over 1.2million as Gaeilge filters were used on Snapchat within hours of their launch earlier this year.
