Three women from Aughavas are making final preparations to swim the length of the River Shannon.
Fló Beo, which is their concept name, will see mother and daughter Eileen and Heather Maxwell and Toni McGlynn take to the water from county Leitrim this Thursday. They will swim all the way to Limerick over the next few weeks. As well as taking on their swim challenge, they are raising awareness and funds for Mental Health charity, A lust for Life, and the Irish Cancer Society.
In April, Eileen and Toni, together with friends, Jo O’Brien, Siobhan Doran and Chloe Maxwell told MaryClaire about where the idea came from.
The women joined MaryClaire in studio last week to give her an update on their training.
