Planning permission has been granted for a three-storey office development in Ballinamore in Leitrim.
Over a dozen objections had been lodged against the plans by Remcoll 2 Limited for an office building over an underground car park in the town.
In November the Cork-based company lodged planning permission for a development comprising of a three-storey office building, of almost 2,500 square metres of space.
Locals objected to the plans on the basis that the project was unnecessary for the town and that there was already sufficient office space for the wider region and businesses looking to locate in the town.
Planning was granted by Leitrim County Council in the last number of days, with 20 conditions attached.
Remcoll also has two other planning applications for works in and around the ‘Rock Quarter’ in the town, with a decision due on those submissions in February.
