Public health officials will review updated World Health Organisation guidance on face coverings - and also discuss how we are dealing with Covid-19 as a nation.

The death toll here has risen to 1,695, after a further five people with the virus died.

There were no newly confirmed cases of Covid-19 across counties Longford Leitrim and Roscommon in the last 24 hours.

There was one new case confirmed in Roscommon on Tuesday night, bringing its overall number of confirmed cases to 338.

Longford has had no new confirmed cases now in six days, the last increase, which was just one new case was announced at last Thursday night's briefing. The county has 285 confirmed cases of Covid 19.

It is a week now since Leitrim has had an increase, at last Wednesday night's briefing, one new case was announced, and that brought the county's overall number of confirmed cases to just 84.
