Mohill woman selected as Green Party candidate for forthcoming General Election

Bláithin Gallagher has been chosen as the Green Party candidate for the next general election for the Sligo Leitrim North Roscommon constituency.

Bláithín is originally from Mohill and now lives in Creevelea north of Drumkeeran, County Leitrim.

She will campaign as part of a team with former coordinator of the Irish Environmental Network, Michael Ewing, from Roscommon, who lost out.

As well the traditional campaign issues such as banning single-use plastics, Blaithin says the party is highlighting new economic models.
