Up to 20 jobs could be created with the new integration centre in Ballinamore, Leitrim.
The Minister for Integration David Stanton is assuring people in the town that all services required to facilitate the families will be provided.
He says that while there is accommodation for up to 130 people, it’s mainly families that will be re-located to the 25 apartments, and it’s unlikely that there will be full occupancy.
Minister Stanton also said the families have not been selected yet and they will be brought to Leitrim on a phased basis in the coming weeks.
Speaking to Shannonside news, Minister Stanton says that as well as providing whatever services are needed, there will be a small amount of jobs created.
