Marian Harkin looks set to win second of four seats in Sligo-Leitrim

Marian Harkin looks on course to win the second of four seats in Sligo-Leitrim.

After eleven counts, the former MEP now has over nine and a half thousand votes, with the quota just over 12,000.

Marc MacSharry’s chances to return to the Dail are also looking good with just over 8,000 votes, followed by Eamon Scanlon on 7300.

However, Frank Feighan is a also still in the mix for the final seat with 6300, with likely transfers from Shane Ellis and running mate Thomas Walsh estimated to push him ever closer to a return to the Dail.
