The average value of any property transaction in Leitrim in June was much lower than the figure for May according to new figures published by the CSO.
The mean sale price of all buyer types in the county for June was €79,384, which was significantly lower than the 108,000 reported for the same type of transaction in May.
In Longford, there was a rise of the mean sale price – growing from 81,000 to 87,000 between May and June, while there was also an increase reported in Roscommon where the same criteria for looking at property sales reflected an increase from €98,0000 to €106,000
The lowest overall median sale prices in June were reported in the Shannonside region with €92,000 recorded in Longford and €95,000 in Leitrim.
Overall the CSO stats show that property price growth was slower in June than it was earlier this year, with a 12% increase recorded compared to 12.4 percent in May and over 13% in April.
