LISTEN: Leitrim video producer says he is owed thousands by Irish TV

A Leitrim videographer is still hopeful of being paid two months wages owed to him by the the owners of Irish TV, despite the company being in interim examinership.

It was confirmed last month that the main backer of the digital TV station, John Griffin, is owed almost €10.7m by the station with several employers, including presenters and producers, waiting to be paid for their work up until the decision to cease production last month.

The company produced individual TV shows for every county in Ireland, and while the station is not creating new material, it is still on air.

Michael O’Donovan, who is based in Dromahair, is owed over €5,000, but told Shannonside FM that he is trying to stay positive about his chances of seeing the money:
