Leitrim woman wins two awards at the Noise Flicks Film Festival

A Leitrim woman has won two awards at the Noise Flicks Film Festival in Dublin.

Caoimhe Gallagher Lawson from Creevelea won the Best Cinematography Award and the Audience Award for her film The Room is Red and Barren.

The film tells the story of a young man whose inner demons are woken by a misuse of prescription pills.

The award ceremony of the film festival, which is an initiative of RTÉ and the Arts Council, took place at the IMC cinema in Tallaght.
