Leitrim politicians pay tribute to former Cllr. Jim Joe Shortt

Leitrim politicians have paid tribute to former Cllr. Jim Joe Shortt, who passed away yesterday.

Mr. Shortt was elected five times to Leitrim County Council and served for the local authority from 1979 to 2009.

The Fianna Fáil man was elected Cathoirleach of the council on four occasions. He went on to become president of the General Council of County Councillors.
