Leitrim organic farmer claims that Ireland faces huge challenges around climate change

A Leitrim organic farmer claims that Ireland faces huge challenges for its health and communities unless urgent action is taken to address climate change.

Today a special biodiversity day is being held at the Organic centre in Rossinver, where a number of ecology and environmental experts will highlight the challenges facing the natural world.

The event comes just two weeks after a report this month by the Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystems, agreed by 130 nations warning that the natural world that we all depend on is doing badly, due to human activities

Drumshanbo man and Biodiversity Champion Thomas Earley, who will be speaking at the event believes that positive change can happen but it needs to start now.
