An Irish man has died in a collision in Australia.
The 36-year-old, who has been named in Australia as Francis Shanley, from Bornacoola, was on his way to work in Sydney this morning when his vehicle was hit by a truck.
Five people were hospitalised following the pile-up which involved 11 vehicles.
The Irish consulate in Sydney has confirmed it’s offering consular assistance to the victim’s family.
The man lived in the Wentworthville area of the city and was working as a tradesman.
