Leitrim GAA will review hosting big matches at Annaduff following traffic issues

Big matches may no longer be held in Leitrim GAA’s new Centre of Excellence at Annaduff after serious traffic issues at a game last night.

More than 1,000 spectators attended the FBD League encounter between Leitrim and Roscommon in the first night-time match held at the €2-million grounds.

A shortage of street-lighting endangered pedestrians walking from the pitch to their cars at Annaduff village.

Leitrim GAA chairman Terence Boyle discussed the issue with Superintendent Kevin English today and says it may spell the end of big games being staged at the venue.
