Leitrim fire service had to deal with eight malicious calls so far this year – the most of any fire service in the Shannonside region.
Longford fire service also dealt with 18 false alarms in the first ten months of the year.
Details released to Shannonside FM under Freedom of Information reveal that Longford fire service responded to the largest amount of incidents between January and October this year.
A total of 263 calls outs required the fire service to attend, including 127 incidents in Longford.
Edgeworthstown staff responded to 46 incidents this year so far, and Granard thirty-six and Ballymahon thirty-five.
18 calls were deemed to be false alarms and one call was malicious
In Leitrim, fire services have responded to 165 incidents in the first ten months of the year – with eight false alarms reported, and eight malicious or fake calls received.
Fire staff based in Carrick-on-Shannon were the busiest in the county, responding to a total fifty-two calls outs so far this year – with Mohill just behind at 44 incidents which they responded to and 38 at the Manorhamilton station.
In Roscommon, fire crews have responded to a total of 171 call outs between January and October of this year.
Of that total, 27 were deemed to be false alarms, and one, in the Strokestown area, was reported as malicious.
The busiest fire service crews in Roscommon are based in the county town, and in Ballaghaderreen, who responded to 49 call outs each.
