Leitrim ewe gives birth to quintuplets

A Leitrim farmer is keeping a close eye on a special delivery.

Kevin Comiskey, from just outside Dromahair, is looking after a quintuplet of lambs delivered on his farm this week.

The mother, a Suffolk cross, was in lamb to a Suffolk ram.

The 5 lambs are doing well and are a good size for being part of a litter.

Kevin, who’s also the Chair of IFA’s Leitrim Sheep Committee, told today’s Let’s Talk that he knew what was to come following a scan by Donegal farm relief earlier this year.
