A Leitrim councillor is condemning the theft of four post boxes at locations around the county over the last six weeks.
Two of the old style, green painted, cast-iron boxes, were stolen from the Drumshanbo area two weeks apart in June, while boxes were also stolen in the Drumsna and Cloone area in June and July. An Post say they have reported the four thefts to the gardai and have been replacing the missing post boxes. The company has condemned the actions of those responsible for the disruption of local services.
Councillor Gerry Dolan from Drumshanbo where two of the boxes were stolen is also expressing his anger at the thefts.
