Leitrim council slammed over number of unfinished housing estates

Leitrim County Council has been slammed over the level of housing estates that remain unfinished in the county.

New figures show 38 housing estates have been taken in charge by the local authority since 2009.

Details released at a council meeting today reveal that ten of them are located in Carrick-on-Shannon, while nine are in Dromod.

Of the other estates in south Leitrim, four are based in both Mohill and Drumshanbo, while one is in both Leitrim village and Rooskey.
