The newly elected Cathaoirelach of Leitrim County Councils says every local authority is going to have to lobby central government to ensure support for small business.
Fianna Fail councillor Mary Bohan who was elected to the chair for the fifth time during her career says the hospitality and tourism sector is the hardest hit as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and Leitrim relies heavily on the business generated.
The long serving councillor says a range of supports have been put in place for various impacted businesses, but Leitrim council will be lobbying to make sure that no one is left behind when it comes to trying to keep their doors open.
