Labour EU hopeful says people should vote across all left parties

The Labour party candidate for the Midlands North West constituency says he hopes he will get transfer votes for people who are voting for parties from the left.

Dominic Hanningan who’s originally from Drogheda but now living in Galway is one of three candidates running for Labour in the EU elections this time out.

He’s a former Senator and TD for the party, losing his seat in 2016 during a major backlash against the party following their time in government with Fine Gael.

He says he feels Labour can still come back from the poor result of 2016 and says if people want change they have to vote for parties like his, and others who are like-minded.
