Over 1,000 people are expected to visit Leitrim over the weekend for the Joe Mooney Summer School.
This is the 31st year of the school, which sees 67 tutors school students in 13 different instruments and styles of dancing and singing over the week.
There’s a range of talks in the afternoon, with performances, recitals and ceilís taking place each evening with the grand traditional concert next Thursday night.
The festival culminates with open air music and set dancing next Saturday night.
