The Shannonside region saw huge increases in business, services and community groups registering new domain names in 2020 in response to the pandemic. 2,186

The Shannonside region saw huge increases in business, services and community groups registering new domain names in 2020 in response to the pandemic.

2,186 new registrations took place over the year in the region with Monaghan showing the biggest leap at an increase of 74 per cent with 437 more registrations than compared to 2019.

Leitrim recorded the second highest increase with 331 new domain's set up, a jump of 60 per cent on the previous year.

Cavan saw 672 new domains registered with Roscommon close behind at 507.

Longford had the lowest number of new registrations and growth in the area with 284 new domains, an increase of 13 per cent.

Nationally, Dublin topped the list with almost 24 thousand new domain names registered over 12 months.
