Garda Superintendent appeals for communities help in solving Rooskey hotel fire

Gardai have confirmed that they are treating last nights fire at the Shannon Key West hotel in Rooskey as suspicious.

Leitrim Garda Superintendent Kevin English has said however that reports people were seen deliberately pouring flammable liquid on the premises have not been confirmed.

Speaking a short time ago to Shannonside News Superintendent English says he’s confident they’ll be able to bring this investigation to a successful conclusion with the help of the community in Rooskey.

Leitrim council Chairman Sean Mc Gowan says the fire has caused deep shock in the local community, and the only consolation is that the structure of the hotel doesn’t appear to have been damaged.
