Carrick-on Shannon Farmers market is one of a number in the region that are re-opening this week as part of the easing of the Covid-19 restrictions.
The popular market is located in the Market Yard in the centre of the town and runs from 10am to 2pm on Thursdays.
John Brennan from the market says some tidying was needed on the yard after the absence of the event for the past several weeks including burning off weeds on the ground.
The market is operating today as normal with up to 12 stalls selling a range of produce including vegetables, flowers, breads, and organic meat.
John Brennan told the Joe Finnegan show that some stall holders have tried to provide an alternative service on the past weeks but are very happy to be back today.
