Enterprise Ireland looking to develop ‘co-working’ as key for north-west growth

Enterprise Ireland claims that more and more people are looking to live in Leitrim due to opportunities to be able to combine a better quality of life with their current jobs.

The government today launched a regional enterprise plan for the northwest in Drumshanbo with targets revealed for investment to encourage more companies to develop in Leitrim, Sligo, Donegal and parts of Cavan.

Aidan McKenna is a regional director with Enterprise Ireland and he believes the north-west and Leitrim especially presents a unique opportunity to combine a better way of life, while retaining their current jobs.

He told Shannonside FM that developing better broadband to encourage people to be able to work remotely is a key strategy of developing the region:
