Carrick-on-Shannon businessman Fintan Cox has been added to Fianna Fáil’s ticket for the local elections.
He failed to secure a nomination for the selection convention in December, at which Councillor Seán McGowan and Leitrim village’s Paddy Farrell were chosen.
But Mr Cox has been informed by party headquarters that he’s been added to the line-up.
He runs two pharmacies in Carrick and has been an active member in the town’s Chamber of Commerce for many years.
He’s delighted to be added to the ticket.
