A total of 14 families are to be resettled in Leitrim over the next year, as part of the Irish Refugee Protection Programme.
Ireland has committed to accommodating 4,000 refugees, and this morning Leitrim County Council has released an update on how many will come to the county.
It’s announced 14 families are to be resettled in the county over the next year, as part of its response to the migrant crisis.
The first group of eight families will arrive in the coming days, with 50 people in total to come to Leitrim as part of the programme.
There’s no indication yet where in the county they’ll be housed.
