Aurivo Co-op re-opening Mohill livestock mart later this month

Aurivo Co-op has announced that it’s reopening three of its’ livestock marts this week.

The company closed all four of its livestock marts last week following in incident at Mohill mart the previous weekend in which a man was seriously injured by a bull.

The man, who is aged in his 70s, was airlifted to Sligo University Hospital where he is still being treated for his injuries.


Aurivo confirmed this afternoon that their marts at Ballymote in Sligo and Balla and Ballinarobe in Co. Mayo are open for business this week. Mohill Mart will reopen next Wednesday, April 25.

New health and safety procedures will be in operation at all the facilities which will see only mart staff being allowed in the sales yard and customer access restricted to certain areas.
