IWMA urges households to recycle Christmas waste

Householders across the Shannonside region are being urged to recycle and save money as well as the environment over the Christmas period.

Up to 20pc more waste is generated at this time of year but the Irish Waste Management Association (IWMA) says it can be drastically reduced by following certain guidelines.

Conor Walsh of the IWMA says that householders here want to do the right thing which is shown by the many queries his members get from customers.

You can find a guide to recycling on the association’s website at www.iwma.ie.
