Arigna Mining Experience confident the attraction will provide viable industry in local area

The secretary of the voluntary and community committee which runs the Arigna Mining Experience says they are confident the attraction will continue to provide a viable industry in the local area.

Speaking at an event held this week to celebrate the expansion of the facility Joe Wrynne says while it will never replace the job losses suffered by the area when the mines closed, it is very important to them that the history and heritage is preserved in the local area.

He says the newly extended visitor facilities at the mining attraction will allow it to cater for larger amounts of visitor over the years to come and play an important role of the future viability of the community.
