People across the Shannonside region are being encouraged to engage with their Local garda as part of the National Community Engagement Day tomorrow.
Gardaí in Longford, Leitrim and Roscommon, as well as local IFA represent and members of the National Rural Safety Forum are holding events across the region to meet with their local gardaí and discuss matters of importance to them such as rural safety, crime prevention and security.
The meetings will be informal and will last approximately one hour.
Gardai will be in longford Shopping centre form 10am until 4pm, with Roscommon Gardai attending the Homeland store in Boyle between 9am and 11am, in Ballaghaderreen between 11.30 and 1pm, and in Castlerea from 2 to 5pm.
In Leitrim events are also taking place at Drumshanbo mart between 2 and 4pm.
